APPLICATION AREAS & REQUIREMENTS
For certain requirements of building envelopes, it is advisable to use profiled sheets or mineral wool sandwich panels with an acoustic perforation. An example of such a situation is a desired sound reduction in commercial buildings or in industrial buildings with noisy production lines. Perforated sheets are also used as gable ventilation in agricultural buildings. The product can be fully or partially perforated depending on the design or the application.
Perforated profiled sheets and sandwich panels with acoustic perforation are the ideal solution for the use in office buildings, supermarkets, sports halls, stables, machinery hall and production facilities. They help providing sound insulation or ventilation and they keep unwanted insects or small animals out of the building envelope. In addition, the perforated gable cladding let light fall in. Other uses of profiled sheets are the building of shopfitting and exhibition stands or in the area of design elements for sophisticated architectural projects.
PERFORATION TYPE & HOLE PATTERN
The intended use of profiled and wave sheets, of steeldecks and floor decks determine the type and the proportion of acoustic perforation of the total area.
Web perforation is generally used for floor decks but because of the static requirements it has to avoided that the percentage of the perforation is too high. Pan and full perforation is used in case of ventilation of buildings. The inner shell of sandwich panels with rock wool is almost fully perforated if the sound reflexion in inner rooms shall be reduced.
BRIDGE PERFORATION

Depending on the product and the type of raw material different hole patterns are available. Please find a selection hereafter.
HOLE PATTERN RV5-8
HOLE PATTERN RV5-12,5
HOLE PATTERN RV5-14
The percentage of holes per square metre is determined by the hole pattern and the type of perforation.
