Choose from different coating systems
Here you will find an overview about our large selection of coating systems. First of all, these protect the profiled sheets, the sandwich panels and other O-METALL® products. However, they not only protect against corrosion, they also allow the use of versatile colour designs. As a standard O-METALL® metal sheets are completely galvanised. Before the colour coating is applied, they are immersed in a zinc bath.
The intended use is under consideration of the environmental conditions decisive for the choice of the right coating. Beside optimal corrosion protection the aspects about architectural design, aesthetics, choice of colour and budget also have to be considered. If the concrete conditions of use as well as the construction designs are known the most optimal and the most profitable coating solution can be selected. We would be pleased to advise you on this.
Hot dip galvanised (HDG)
Galvanisation as basis for colour coating or galvanised sheet w/o colour coating. Variants: Sendzimir galvanisation process (Z), zinc/magnesium (ZM), aluzinc (AZ).
Reverside protective lacquer (RSL) approx. 5 – 12µm
Protective lacquer applied on the galvanised surface on the bottom side of the sheet.
Thin coating (DU) approx. 12 – 15µm
Interior coating on a galvanised surface, e.g. on the bottom side of some sandwich panels.
Agristrong35® approx. 35µm
Special coating developed for the agricultural sector, usually for indoor use.
Special coatings
On request, for many of our products we also can offer special coatings. Besides various wood imitations, our product range also includes different effect and decoration lacquers.
Polyester colour coating (POL) approx. 25 – 35µm
The standard coating for outdoor use. Available in many different colours. Long-term tested and cost-effective. This coating is available for almost all products.
Aluzinc (AZ185)
Aluzinc combines the barrier effect of aluminium and the cathodic protection effect of zinc and therefore has an excellent corrosion resistance. With protective film.
Polyurethane coating (PUR) approx. 35 – 60µm
Ultra-modern colour coating based on polyurethane. Available in various colours.
Polyvinyl chloride resin coating approx. 200µm
Specially developed coating for the roughest applications. Available in various colours.
