THE O-METALL GROUP CELEBRATES ASCENSION DAY AND EUROPE DAY

Ascension Day is an important Christian holiday. Traditionally, the Ascension of Jesus Christ is commemorated on the 40th day after Easter.

This year there is something special. For the first time in Luxembourg, two public holidays fall on the same day. This is because Europe Day is traditionally celebrated in Luxembourg on May 9. On May 9, 1950, the then French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman signed the famous Schuman Declaration in Paris. Since then, May 9 has been considered the birth of the European Union and is a public holiday in Luxembourg.

Please note that all our locations will be closed on May 9 due to the public holiday. On Friday, May 10, our locations in Heidweiler (Germany) and Ried im Traunkreis (Austria) will be open again for you. Our employees in Heinerscheid (Luxembourg) and Dahme/Mark (Germany) will not be available for you again until Monday, May 13.
