INSTALLATION OF SANDWICH ROOF PANELS WITH SCREWS AND STORM WASHERS

To ensure a high level of watertightness, sandwich panels as well as profiled sheets and light panels that are screwed to the raised bead or top chord should be fastened with storm washer. These are made of corrosion-resistant aluminum and have a full-surface seal on the underside. This and the use of sealing screws permanently prevent water from entering the drill hole.

By increasing the contact surface, storm washers also increase the frictional connection between the sheet and the substructure and make the roof more resistant to extreme weather conditions.

In most cases, stainless steel sealing screws with a drill point are used to install our products. Our sealing screws are available in a wide range of variants for all common products and substructures, also available with matching painted screw heads on request.

VISIBLE FASTENING FOR SANDWICH WALL PANELS

Sandwich wall panels with visible fixing are considered to be one of the most economical wall systems. The panels are screwed together with special sealing screws from the outside through the outer shell, the insulating core and the inner shell. The advantages of this system are its quick and easy installation, excellent insulation value, very good value for money and the ability to replace individual panels if repairs are required. CONCEALED FASTENING FOR SANDWICH PANELS

The use of sandwich wall panels with concealed fixings creates an aesthetically pleasing building façade without visible screws. The screws and load distribution plates in the screw joint are concealed by the joint cover of the next panel. In addition to an attractive appearance, the cover offers increased protection against external influences.
The use of load distribution plates at the fixing points also ensures optimum fixing forces and can enable larger spans.

ROOF RENOVATION WITH PROFILED SHEETS & SANDWICH ELEMENTS FROM O-METALL

Fiber cement panels were a frequently chosen roof covering until the 1990s. Today, it is known that the asbestos fibers contained in the old fiber cement sheets are harmful to health, which is why the material may no longer be used. However, as long as the panels are intact, there is no health risk. This only arises when the material becomes porous or even breaks and the fibers can be released.
