To strengthen purchasing power and to counter inflation, Luxembourg is reducing almost all VAT rates. The standard VAT rate decreases from 17% to 16%, the medium rate decreases from 14% to 13% and the reduced rate (especially for gas and electricity) decreases from 8% to 7%. The super-reduced rate remains at 3 percent.
